Colleges and universities throughout the United States offer more than 250 degree programs for students interested in public policy. Some of these programs receive support from executive education programs that cater to professional analysts who want to continue their studies in the face of constantly evolving matters of public policy. Students in the field can seek several higher education degrees, including master of public administration (MPA) and master of public policy (MPP). Looking back on the last 50 years, numerous holders of MPA and MPP degrees have shaped the nation’s policies and advised American leaders on the subject of public policy.
